Vandaag weer wat nieuws geleerd, en wel gewoon uit het boekje: De voorwiellagers vervangen.
Ben er als leek (of liever: beginneling) maar 4 uur mee bezig geweest!
Heb alles uit elkaar geschroeft en lekker schoongemaakt en de nieuwe lagertjes geplaatst.
Het boek was wel even te vermelden dat er nog conische kommetjes (waar het lager in draaid) uit/in geperst moesten worden, maar met een hamer en wat ander gereedschap is het toch perfect gelukt.
Het wiel draaid dus weer met alle plezier zijn rondjes.
Maaaaar..... Nu voelde ik na een test ritje even aan de velgen (aan beide kanten) en deze worden veel warmer dan eerst. En ook veel warmer dan de achterwielen.
De (licht metalen) velg wordt dan wel niet rood-gloeiend, maar blijft zeker ook niet koud, zoals bij de achterwielen.
Ik heb het vermoeden dat de warmte van het nieuwe lager afkomt, ipv de remmen, want aan deze laatste heb ik niets veranderd.
Het lager heb ik (volgens het boek) "hand-vast" gedraaid, dus het lijkt me sterk dat het wiel te-zwaar draaid.
Ik heb als lagervet het volgende gebruikt: "Molykote Wit Lagervet"
Heb ik mischien het verkeerde vet gebruikt??
